Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Community Deprivation of Liberty (DoL)

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board has an MCA and DoL Team, who are working to ensure that Community DoL applications are made where people require them.

The team are able to support colleagues to make Community DoL applications to the Court of Protection, support with complex MCA / DoL situations and assessments, and make Community DoL applications. The useful links and documents below all meet the current legal framework for assessing an individual’s capacity and are there for all members of staff to use.
