Young people due to start university or move into student accommodation this autumn are being encouraged to protect themselves against meningitis by taking up a new, one-off NHS vaccination offer. 

People living with long-term health conditions across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight are being encouraged to discover the life-changing benefits of moving more, as a We Are Undefeatable campaign launches across the region.

It is now one year since the launch of the national 10 Year Health Plan and across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight work is already underway to deliver changes to health and care services that will make the biggest difference to people’s lives.

As part of wider NHS reforms, the boundaries of some Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) changed on 1 April 2026. This includes the dissolution of NHS Frimley ICB, with its former footprint being divided between three ICBs.

Many practices within Hampshire and Isle of Wight are participating in a flexible commissioning scheme, which offers extra NHS dentistry sessions for patients who require additional treatment after receiving care for an urgent dental need. The scheme will also provide routine check-ups for specific patient cohorts. Patients do not need to be known to, or associated with, the practice to access these sessions.
