Welcome to the NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Improving Together platform - a place to collaborate and connect, share and learn.
In the health and care system in Hampshire and Isle of Wight, we want to support people to live longer and more fulfilled lives in good health. Continuous improvement and learning are at the heart of this, shaping how we work.
Improving Together offers everyone across Hampshire and Isle of Wight a thriving, diverse platform where we can connect, collaborate, share, improve and learn together, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and learning. It provides a repository of resources and support, including local and national training and development opportunities, and newsletters and bulletins.
We are looking forward to developing this together, supported by a growing learning and improvement community across Hampshire and Isle of Wight and evolving networks and infrastructure.

We are delighted to inform you that as part of National Quality Improvement (QI) week 2025, we are holding an in person Improving Together conference, at the Kings Community Church, Hedge End, SO30 4BZ.
This is a collaborative event between NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB, The Academy of Research and Improvement, and NHS providers.
The theme of QI week is ‘QI is for everyone’ so the day is designed to be a system-wide, interactive opportunity to bring together people from Hampshire and Isle of Wight and beyond to share, learn and connect as we work together to build a community of continuous improvement and learning.
During the event we will be running a poster competition, if you have a good news story around an improvement project that you would like to share, please send to Liz Taylor hiowicb-hsi.clinicaleffectiveness@nhs.net before the 22nd August in order for us to print and display on the day. If you need a template or guidance around how to best present your story please get in touch.
If you would like to attend, please register here
This event is funded through the Q Community’s Supporting Q Connections programme, by the Health Foundation.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Clinical Framework
Our clinical framework was launched at the Clinical Leadership event on the 21st November; it has been designed by clinicians and sets out the principles and values underpinning how we work together to design, deliver and improve our healthcare services. It defines our ambition to improve the health of our population and reduce inequalities in health and healthcare outcomes, now and in the future.
